CLOUD TALK: David Salomon

David Salomon will deliver a Cloud Talk, On "Aesthetic Infrastructure," on Fri., Nov. 4 @ 2 p.m. in Lower Center Core of S. R. Crown Hall.

Salomon is Assistant Professor and Coordinator of the Architectural Studies program at Ithaca College in New York. He is the co-author, with Paul Andersen, of The Architecture of Patterns. Salomon's essays have appeared in Grey Room, Harvard Design Magazine, Logand the the Journal of Architectural Education. He has taught architectural theory, history and design at Cornell University, The University of Pennsylvania, Syracuse University and the University at Buffalo. Currently he is a visiting assistant professor in the Art History Department at Ithaca College. He received his PhD from the Critical Studies in Architecture Culture program at UCLA.

Salomon's research looks at everyday artifacts found in the built environment that are ubiquitous but almost invisible.
