DEAN ARETS LECTURE AT UIC

IIT Architecture Chicago Dean and The Rowe Family College of Architecture Dean Endowed Chair, Wiel Arets will lecture at the UIC School of Architecture on Oct. 25, 2016 at 5:30 p.m. as part of the UIC School of Architecture Lecture Series.

The UIC School of Architecture lecture series is free and open to the public. All lectures take place in Gallery 1100 A+DS, 845 W Harrison St. at 5:30PM, unless otherwise noted.

Wiel Arets is an internationally renowned architect. He graduated from the Technical University of Eindhoven in the Netherlands in 1983 and established his own practice in the same year, which later expanded throughout Europe. His writings and built projects are extensively published globally. Since 1989 he has continually taught at the world’s most distinguished universities, was from 1995-2001 the Dean of the Berlage Institute in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, and in 2012 was appointed Dean–as well as the John and Jeanne Rowe Chair–at IIT Architecture Chicago. In March 2013, Arets announced 'Rethinking Metropolis' as a theme for the IIT Architecture in the publication "NOWNESS".
