George Baird is the Founding Principal of Baird Sampson Neuert Architects. Over the span of his 50 year career in architecture, he has participated in numerous architectural, urban design, public space, and heritage preservation projects. Baird has been recognized with numerous awards, including the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada Gold Medal in 2010, the AIA/ACSA Topaz Medallion for Excellence in Architectural Education in 2012, and an appointment as a Member of the Order of Canada in 2015. 

He will deliver a lecture entitled "Megastructures and High-Tech: a 60’s-70’s Adventure in Modern Canadian Architecture”
