IIT Joins the LafargeHolcim Foundation
The IIT College of Architecture is pleased to announce that it has become an associated university of the LafargeHolcim Foundation for Sustainable Construction. Based in Zürich, the Foundation supports initiatives that combine sustainable construction solutions with architectural excellence and enhanced quality of life. Together with its associated universities, the Foundation advances the academic discussion of sustainable construction through the LafargeHolcim Forum, a triennial international conference bringing together the world’s top researchers and designers.
There are currently thirteen worldwide universities associated with foundation, including MIT, ETH Zürich, and Tsinghua University, Beijing. As a member of the LafargeHolcim network, IIT faculty and students will have opportunities to participate in the highest level of international research on sustainability in architecture and urbanism.
