The Fall 2017 IIT Architecture Welcome Back Picnic will take place on Monday, August 21st from 12:00 to 2:00 in Center Core at S. R. Crown Hall.
After a welcome from Interim Dean Michelangelo Sabatino, the IIT Architecture faculty and staff will update you on what's new for the fall 2017 semester and the 2017/2018 academic year. Food, drink and ice cream will be provided.
New this year, all students will have the chance to enter a raffle to win memberships to the Art Institute of Chicago and the Chicago Architecture Foundation.
This event is co-sponsored by AIAS and NOMA. Representatives from both organizations will be present with information about their organizations.
The American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS) and the National Organization of Minority Architecture Students (NOMAS), are national, student-led groups that advocate for the voice of architecture students in the profession.
NOMAS is the student branch of the National Organization of Minority Architects, whose mission is to champion diversity within the design profession by promoting excellence, community engagement, and the professional development of its members.
AIAS is an independent, nonprofit, student-run organization dedicated to providing unmatched progressive programs, information, and resources on issues critical to architecture and the experience of education. Our mission is to advance leadership, design and service among architecture students.
