Virgil Abloh, CoA alumni and founder of fashion label "Off-White", is among the eight finalists of LVMH Prize 2015.
The 33-year-old Virgil Abloh holds an M.Arch. degree from IIT Architecture. For the past decade, Virgil has served as a creative director for rapper and producer Kanye West, and worked with many high fashion designers on an array of creative projects. In 2012, Virgil founded "Off-White" – a fashion brand that bridges the gap between high fashion and streetwear.
The annual LVMH Prize grants one fashion designer under the age of 40 a year of mentorship at the luxury conglomerate and a €300,000 grant. Judged by nine designers in LVMH houses, the prize will be awarded in Paris on May 22.
