The architecture community is welcome to join Adjunct Professor John Kriegshauser in exploring and discussing an exhibition in S. R. Crown Hall’s Graham Resource Center, featuring the history of furniture and models made by Illinois Institute of Technology’s College of Architecture students, at 12:30 p.m. on February 9.
Kriegshauser has managed the college’s model shop for more than 30 years and is bringing his experiences to life through “Chairs: 50 Years.” The work and associated materials explore craft, structure, and technology, and span from ancient Chinese hand tools to modern equipment that architecture students should know all too well.
