IIT Architecture will host a Panel Discussion on Landscape Architecture, co-moderated by Professor and Director of the Landscape Architecture + Urbanism program Ron Henderson at S. R. Crown Hall on Monday, September 11 at 6 p.m.
Landscape architects are leading the transformation of Chicago’s public realm with innovative projects that meld design, ecology, history, and culture, from Millennium Park to Navy Pier, the 606 and the Riverwalk.
Charles A. Birnbaum, FASLA, President & CEO of The Cultural Landscape Foundation, and Ron Henderson, FASLA, Director of the Landscape Architecture + Urbanism Program at Illinois Institute of Technology College of Architecture, will co-moderate a panel discussion on innovative and entrepreneurial projects that are reshaping 21st century Chicago and the practice of landscape architecture. They will be joined by Conor O’Shea, University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign and founding principal of Hinterlands Urbanism and Landscape; Terry Guen, FASLA, Terry Guen Design Associates, and Bradley McCauley, ASLA, Managing Principal, Site Design, Chicago.
