IIT College of Architecture invites all to digitally experience a year’s worth of collective student work from the 2023 Open House, “Context,” through its interactive website.
The in-person event was hosted at 5 p.m. on May 5 at S. R. Crown Hall, though anyone who missed the Open House can view the projects online.
“Context” aims to understand the work of architecture more deeply—in the environment that informed it, among the thoughts that evolved it, and surrounded by the choices that developed it. Over the course of the academic year, students design projects that respond to the physical, cultural, and social environments. This year’s Open House displays the final projects of students of each degree program, as well as the processes, the iterations, and the conversations that shaped the final work.
