​Students launch Art x Architecture Gallery

IIT Architecture is pleased to announce the opening of the Art x Architecture student-led gallery.

Art x Architecture Gallery (AxA) aims to broaden students' knowledge of disciplines outside the field of architecture. The AxA is a place to conduct explorations in critical thinking, inspired the experience of studying architecture. As a student-run gallery, the mission of AxA is to support the interests of students and to facilitate their exploration of art, design, and architecture in a shared space. AxA aims to serve as a "blank canvas," open and ever-changing, directed by the interests of IIT Architecture students.

The gallery will host a variety of exhibitions throughout the year, curated by students, featuring their work, the work of their faculty/studios, and/or the work of artists and designers from Chicago and around the country.

The new space, located at 3410 S. State St. on the IIT Mies Campus, will also serve as a student lounge, conversation, and break area.
