On Friday, December 8, from 5-9PM, IIT Architecture hosted a holiday Gospel celebration and conversation in S. R. Crown Hall.
IIT Architecture and the Mies van der Rohe Society hosted a conversation about the future of the National Museum of Gospel Music on the former site of Pilgrim Baptist Church in Bronzeville. IIT’s campus is part of the fabric of the Bronzeville community. We welcome the conversion of the landmark Adler & Sullivan site into the home of the National Museum of Gospel Music. The proposed project by developer Don Jackson (Central City Productions) and architect Dirk Lohan (Wight & Company) will transform this nearby site into a museum showcase for international and local culture.
