IIT College of Architecture invites everyone to join Nader Tehrani, founding principal of NADAAA and dean of Cooper Union’s Irwin S. Chanin School of Architecture, in a lecture and book launch of My House Is Better Than Your House on Wednesday, October 12, at S. R. Crown Hall as part of the fall lecture series.
The publication focuses on a private residence in southern France, the Villa Varoise, designed by Tehrani. In the book, architect Preston Scott Cohen joins Tehrani in discussing houses with complex geometries and engaging debate about design.
Nader has garnered worldwide recognition and awards, including the 2020 Arnold W. Brunner Memorial Prize. His projects include residences and institutions built around the world, from Beijing and Australia to Los Angeles and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he led the architecture department from 2010–2014.
The lecture is open to the public and will begin at 5 p.m.
