Lecture: Deborah Berke, Deborah Berke Partners of New York

IIT College of Architecture invites everyone for a lecture from Deborah Berke, founder of Deborah Berke Partners and dean of the Yale School of Architecture, on Wednesday, September 28, at S. R. Crown Hall as part of the fall lecture series.

Berke, who has been in the field for 35 years, graduated from Rhode Island School of Design before founding the studio. She has won numerous awards and in 2016 was appointed by Yale University to lead its architecture school. She has been dean of the school since.

Berke founded Deborah Berke Partners in 1982 in New York, which has since expanded to 11 partners. The practice has designed institutes, residences, hotels, and more, including 432 Park Avenue, a supertall residential tower in New York’s “Billionaires’ Row.”

The lecture is open to the public and will begin at 5 p.m.
