S. R. Crown Hall will host a lecture from Drawing Agency, an architectural practice based in New York on Friday, October 7.
The lecture, “Territories of Territory Extraction,” focuses on the international trade in Southeast Asia waterways, particularly around Singapore. Forensic architectural analysis is used to showcase the city-state’s relationship with supply chains. The exhibition for this lecture is currently open and on display in Graham Resource Center in lower Crown Hall.
Drawing Agency, founded by Galen Pardee in 2018, has worked on projects around the world, including efforts to preserve and protect the Great Lakes watershed. Pardee teaches at Columbia University as an adjunct professor.
The lecture is open to the public and will begin at 5 p.m.
