IIT Architecture Adjunct Professor Carol Ross Barney is slated to deliver the Keynote Marquee Presentation, entitled "Future Cities: Creating Livable Environments," at the 2018 NeoCon.
NeoCon is the commercial design industry’s annual trade show held in Chicago, now in its fiftieth year, offering ideas and introductions that shape the built environment today and into the future. The Marquee Presentations are a programming series that includes panels, talks, and keynote addresses that reflect on innovations in the contract industry, and discuss the infinite possibilities for the future of commercial design.

Carol Ross Barney has been honored with more than 100 design awards since founding Ross Barney Architects in 1981. Her projects vary in type and scale but uphold a deep commitment to the role architecture plays in life quality. Notable projects by her firm include the Chicago Riverwalk, CTA Cermak-McCormick Place and Morgan Street stations, Jewish Reconstructionist Congregation, James/Swenson Civil Engineering Building, Oklahoma City Federal Building, Bloomingdale/606 Trail Design Framework Plan, and design schools for Chicago and communities across the country.
